Your Insurance Restoration Experts

ERC's core business is restoring properties that have been damaged by hail, wind, fire or water in markets that are most susceptible to damaging weather events. We are dedicated to achieving the highest level of quality and value for our Clients. Every Restoration Project incorporates a dedicated Project Manager who utilizes the combined knowledge and resources of our Urgent Response, Estimating, Claims Processing, Legal, Production, and Quality Assurance teams to execute superior Restoration work. In fact, EVERY Restoration project that ERC facilitates restores the property to better-than pre-loss condition by improving it with new materials and quality workmanship. In addition, our sound quality assurance processes and comprehensive manufacturer-backed warranty programs ensure that our Clients can enjoy worry-free use of their improved property for many years to come.

ERC’s commitment to serving Residential and Commercial Restoration markets is the product of recognizing the acute need for honorable organizations to step forward and command change. For most property owners, the prospect of dealing with an unexpected loss in enough in itself. Navigating the challenges associated with the subversive behaviors often associated with the Restoration industry is demoralizing and unproductive. People in crisis simply do not have the time or inclination to deal with temporary repairs, locate temporary housing, inventory damaged/lost items, find qualified contractors, meet insurance adjusters or deal with any part of the tedious insurance claims process. No one relishes the prospect of fighting with a mortgage company for the release of their insurance proceeds; scheduling, supervising and inspecting work, dealing with material suppliers and building inspectors, collecting receipts and invoices, etc. As an alternative to being overwhelmed, residential and commercial disaster victims can easily turn to ERC for expert help.

In addition to sterling Restoration work, we utilize the deep knowledge and experience of our employees and subcontractors to incorporate energy-efficient and sustainable building products and methods into our building practices. From custom design to ground-up construction we can facilitate virtually any project that our Clients envision.

What do you do when a fire takes everything away from you? Who do you turn to? Aside from the emotional trauma of losing so much so fast, homeowners are faced with an insurance company that seems intent on paying as little as possible to restore their homes and personal property to pre-loss condition. Rather than swooping in and putting their lives back together as most think their insurance policy promised, their insurance company's Adjusters chose to make their lives as difficult as possible at a time when these policyholders, as fire victims, were in their most vulnerable state. Unfortunately, this is not an uncommon experience. Homeowners are confronted with the choice of taking a fast, unfair settlement or fighting for a slow, fair settlement. It is becoming commonplace in the industry - fast or fair but not both. Preying on the policyholder by using the claims department as a profit center instead of a tool for delivering the indemnity that was promised extends to nearly every insurance company in the US to one degree or another.

Tornados are one of the worst hazards that property owners can face. They manifest with little notice and their fierce winds, large hailstones, and flying debris rapidly damage or destroy the persons and property that stand in their way. In a matter of seconds, protective coverings such as roofing & siding materials or even framing members can be peeled away exposing valuable personal property or merchandise to water damage from the torrential rainfall that often follows. This rapid destruction presents a significant challenge when it comes to mitigating secondary damage to persons and property.

Water Damage is highly invasive in nature and can create a host of supplemental issues such as mold, mildew, warping and rot. Both the cause and the extent of water damage are often hidden making it be hard to identify, challenging to isolate, and extremely difficult to properly repair. After experiencing water damage, many property owners find that their property insurance policy does not cover the type of damage they experienced or worse, their claim is not handled properly and coverage that could have been available to them is denied. Unfortunately, very few insurance adjusters have the comprehensive knowledge that is required to comprehensively estimate the scope of work required to properly repair water damage.

Understanding the type of damage that hailstones will cause to structures and personal property is important because in our experience many property owners tend to discount the severity of the damage and the consequences of putting off or failing to make the needed repairs.  Doing so can promote the progressive deterioration of your property, void warranties, and costly equity loss or concerns when it’s time to sell your property.  There are two primary reasons why property owners do not give hail damage the attention it deserves:

1.        They are unaware of the true scope of damage to their property.  ADJUSTORS DO NOT HAVE A DUTY TO PERFORM A THROUGH INSPECTION TO DISCOVER ALL POSSIBLE DAMAGE AND BRING IT TO THE POLICY HOLDERS ATTENTION!  This relationship and these responsibilities are clearly spelled out in insurance policies but most policyholders tend not to read them.

2.        Property owners and (often times) their contractors minimize the need to repair damages that appear minimal or might be out-of-sight believing it is not worth the time or money to properly repair. They underestimate the consequences of doing nothing.

What is your best option to handle Insurance Restoration?

The best solution for getting all of your hail damage addressed by your insurance company and performing the proper repairs in the proper order is to hire a legitimate restoration contractor that has the staff, knowledge, dedication, and attention to detail that you need to get the job done right.  Just remember that you have the power and responsibility of oversight.  Ultimately, it is the responsibility of the property owner to identify and collect all the insurance proceeds that they are entitled to. Clearly, this responsibility is most likely to be fulfilled when a competent and dependable restoration contractor is involved!
